WHY…

For centuries activists have helped shape and transform our world. As Bonnie says in the script “Women wouldn't have the vote, and slavery would still be legal if it wasn't for ordinary folk standing upto toxic legislation.”

As our right to protest is being sanitised to acceptable flag-waving, and environmental activists receive years in jail for merely ‘conspiring to cause a public nuisance’, we bring you a story about standing up to misguided authority, an urgent battle cry from the woods.

OAK shows how a shared purpose can bring people from all walks of life together. As we head blindly into climate chaos this tale reminds us that as a species, united we stand, divided we fall.

OAK celebrates the ordinary individuals worldwide who stand up to powerful corporations and corrupt governments to protect our natural world.
